When you're consistently 20kph faster than the other car in the same high speed corners, you're not on another planet, you're on less fuel.

Maybe they tested different setup.nico5 wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 13:09When you're consistently 20kph faster than the other car in the same high speed corners, you're not on another planet, you're on less fuel.

it's the official update from Pirelli, so please send your complaints about a lack of knowledge to Mario Isola instead.atanatizante wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 13:43search wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 11:45Tire update after day 1:

That`s wrong at least for the soft tyres, most likely:

or different deployment. Antonelli is faster on the straights, as far as I can see. Fuel level would be unusual.AR3-GP wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 13:29Maybe they tested different setup.nico5 wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 13:09When you're consistently 20kph faster than the other car in the same high speed corners, you're not on another planet, you're on less fuel.

I apologize if I offended you in any way. I truly appreciate the work you do on this forum; however, since you have the time and have been focusing for so long on which tyres the teams use during race weekends, I thought it would be better to use more precise data—namely, the data from MultiViewer for F1, which is the official live-timing program that F1TV uses for the desktop version. I hope things are clearer now, right?search wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 13:45it's the official update from Pirelli, so please send your complaints about a lack of knowledge to Mario Isola instead.atanatizante wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 13:43search wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 11:45Tire update after day 1:

Where do you see a mistake, though? On first view, it looks in line to me
I'm not offended, no worries. I just have no idea why you think something about the list is wrong.atanatizante wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 13:51I apologize if I offended you in any way. Out of respect for you, please allow me to explain. For example, in FP1, LEC used only one set of soft tyres and one set of medium tyres. For the medium tyre, it’s clear that there was just a single stint of 13 laps. However, on the soft tyre he first did a stint of 3 laps, then he came into the pits for setup changes, and afterwards he did another stint of 5 laps, this time on the same soft tyres, which now appear with a diagonal mark because they are already used. The final stint was 8 laps, again on used soft tyres. So in total, he completed 16 laps on one set of soft tyres and 16 laps on one set of medium tyres. If he had gone out of the pits on a new set of tyres, they would have appeared without a diagonal mark, and therefore they should have been taken into account at the end of FP1…
For example, LEC used one set of soft tyres in both FP1 and FP2, so after the FP2 session, he should be listed with four new sets of softs and two used ones, don’t you think?search wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 13:54I'm not offended, no worries. It's of course possible that Pirelli makes mistakes, but I don't see anything in your pictures that indicates that this is the case today. Who, for example, do you think should have different tires left?
The new regs have had a profound effect on interpreting telemetry. Many corner speeds are decided by deployment, as you have noted.
the rules require everyone to return two sets of tires after each pracice session (on normal weekends - sprint weekends are different). No matter how many sets the exact driver used in that session.atanatizante wrote: ↑06 Mar 2026, 14:05For example, LEC used one set of soft tyres in both FP1 and FP2, so after the FP2 session, he should be listed with four new sets of softs and two used ones, don’t you think?
