Yea, this is largely what was feared over Mercedes ICE advantage. Where most power units are expending 'x' amount of electrical energy to get to 150kph or whatever, Mercedes can dial back the electrical deployment to some degree and get there in the same amount of time but then still have more deployment left over while others have run out.

Yea, this is largely what was feared over Mercedes ICE advantage. Where most power units are expending 'x' amount of electrical energy to get to 150kph or whatever, Mercedes can dial back the electrical deployment to some degree and get there in the same amount of time but then still have more deployment left over while others have run out.

At least with these gaps Ferrari will be within the Aduo for sure.

It's really hilarious comparing LEC's fastest lap in SQ2 to the second lap in SQ3. The deployment is identical except the AI powered software just cuts out the battery on the straight in the SQ3 lap.

I think there's a genuine benefit to it otherwise why would they waste the only free practice session on a sprint weekend? But it's not the panacea the Italian press were making it out to be and it still needs a little more baking to be consistently useful. Just like every other novel concept.

Without ADUO there is no point in watching this state of F1. Drivers cannot push as they have to harvest and they have very underpower car.

The only hope is FIA gives ADUO to all but Mercedes to make it competitive

Honestly I don't know if there's any point wasting tires in fighting Merc right now. Just a waste of tires and fuel at least at the current stage. If not for the SC Hamilton might've been vulnerable to those behind, he drove really well but fighting that Merc almost killed him
