I think we can conclude that Red Bull - as we knew it - is over.
Whatever happens from now, it will be a different team, with new faces and vibes and identity.
I think they will need a complete rebuild from scratch if they want to be at the top again and even IF it happens, it would still take years.
Smart move by Mekies to transfer the Racing Bulls talent he knows from his time there to the main team. With Racing Bulls on the same campus now it's even easier.
I wouldn't downplay someone just because they are coming from Racing bulls, not everyone starts at the top. The important part is identifying people who can add value to the team.
This announcement is mostly to do with the team morale and controlling the narrative around the team.
