ADOU regulations don’t apply to the electrical side of the PU.V10FURY wrote: ↑25 Apr 2026, 20:57These new regulations of 350kw super clipping will really hurt Honda if they haven’t solved that issue by Miami. Hopefully the chassis is better and the vibration issue will be fixed to at least the remotes 80%. Then Honda can run the engine at the full rpm limit/boost and see if they are down 80hp or less than 50hp. I still think they will be a long way off the midfield battle if they are so weak on power and recovery. Miami being a sprint weekend is also not ideal, but at least they extended the free practice 1 to 90 minutes of running. After September the team should start a decent march to catch up to the midfield if Honda can get the ADOU upgrades, and fix the battery / recovery issues. If not this team will need to write off this year and possibly next year as well.
Speaking at the Grand Prix Historique de Monaco on Saturday, Alonso said he is planning to continue racing beyond the end of this season and will only retire when he feels ready to do so.
"I love what I do. I love racing," Alonso said. "I did my first race when I was three years [old], and I am 44, so 41 years of my life I have been behind a steering wheel.
"So the moment I have to stop racing, it will be a very hard decision and difficult to accept.
"The time will tell. I will feel it. At the moment, I don't feel it is that time yet. I feel competitive, I feel motivated, I feel happy when I drive. So, yeah, hopefully not the last season."
good to hear. it would be cringe af if he decides to retire right as the team get on top of all their issues.FNTC wrote: ↑27 Apr 2026, 13:37Fernando Alonso keen to continue F1 career beyond 2026, not ready to retire

For Miami,
That is quite an astonishing quote for the rest of the season if you are AMR.
We have made some progress, which will allow us to implement new corrective measures in Miami and later in the season"
Being realistic, this progress WILL NOT have a visible impact on the power unit's on-track performance, so we MUST NOT expect major advances here"
in some online sources I read that he said
Surely that must be absurd to have a chassis for testing only after Japan F1?!“It has been a long but intense period between the races with lots of work happening in collaboration with the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team both in Japan and in the UK,” Orihara said ahead of the Miami Grand Prix.
“The Japanese Grand Prix showed that the work is going in the right direction and helped us to find the motivation to keep pushing forward.
“After that race, we took the opportunity to keep one of the AMR26 cars on site for further static testing in Sakura for the first time, focusing our efforts on reducing the vibrations and thus increasing reliability.
The quote specifically says "here" being Miami.Badger wrote: ↑28 Apr 2026, 12:10That is quite an astonishing quote for the rest of the season if you are AMR.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say but the rules say that no ADOU decisions before Miami. ADOU stuff will only come AFTER Miami. So the PU upgrade has ZERO to do with ADOU, 100% reliability upgrade.collindsilva wrote: ↑28 Apr 2026, 06:39For Miami,
New Honda engine - is this new spec engine or upgraded engine, if new spec, then this should be the benchmark for ADOU. if it is upgraded, then Is it ADOU upgrade.
New steering column - so the vibration from the engine is not yet resolved.
Its confusing...
I don't know anything, if all of these are not improvements and if ** one will not bring performance
