McLaren dominance begins on Saturday. It will be very embarrasing for Merc but they can't do anything about it anyway.

On another matter.. If Lewis dares to invite a certain Kardashian as guest let's just say that afirmation means we can call the end of his career, write him off as bankrupt in six months, in a madhouse in a year while nursing an STD or two.

No way there will be a GP on Sunday. Rain and thunderstorms from early in the morning till late in the evening/night.

Cancel the sprintrace and make it 2 FP's today and a qualification and GP on Saturday.

Noon and 4 PM on Sunday. The red dots are thunderstorms.

I am surprised that 'lightning' is such a big deal on an open-sky race track where even the barricades are 3-4 times the height of the cars. At-risk are the seating structures and their roofs (which can be addressed by 3-4 lightning arrester rods sticking out of the top of each 'stand') - they can return the entry fee of the spectators and ask them to watch on TV , without cancelling the race. The event will still be on, just that we won't have helicopter/drone camera shots in the telecast. Which is fine.
Cancelling the race is pretty naive, TBH.
I would imagine that the concern is more to do with fans/spectators, track crew and pit/hospitality areas, not to mention emergency services and broadcast crews.
Perspective - Understanding that sometimes the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.

Okay thats concerning enough that they might want to explore some radical changes to the weekend. Does F1 have the ability to cancel the sprint and reschedule the race in its time slot instead?

According to Crofty yes Crofty, anyway he said they aren’t enforcing the new changes to the regs at this race. What the hell?! Ridiculous. No wonder I’ve seen cars ramping down at end of the straights. Awful. They said they didn’t change for this race because they feel there will be enough places around this track to charge but from what I’ve seen end of straight nonsense where cars slow down is still happening so far from looking onboards on various fast laps. Drivers won’t be happy neither fans. F1 has become a joke this isn’t what Formula 1 should be. Shameful

the new rule addresses qualifying mainly, while they use the race settings in free practice. So whatever change it will result in, you'll be unlikely to see much of it on Fridays.

I guess the teams were practicing the quali mode late on now, resulting in all those lock-ups? Or was there just some change of wind direction?

You must laugh about the predictions??

All weather sites/men predict the same, no exception.

According to you they are all stupid and you are smart?

Nope I lived in Florida half of my life, basically anyone who lived here will say the same thing. No need to get annoyed or uptight about my laughter, it's just silly banter.

It either rains or it doesn't that's all you need to know how this state functions.

looking at FP1 data, Ferrari looking an absolute beast through all corner types - high/med/low speed. Chassis looks spectacular. Not sure how much 'turning-down-the-wick' Mercedes and Mclaren were upto, but looks like both of them are going to have a proper fight with Ferrari, apart from each other. Redbull looks a distant 4th, even though they seem to have made an improvement from their middle-of-midfield status.

Russell’s long run pace was on another level.
