It didn't make a difference. Montreal is a power track. Positive news 100% chance of rain tomorrow from 10am till 7pm.
Completely different tracks. Compared to Miami, half as much of the lap time is made up of slow sections. That’s why what happened yesterday happened: he’s trying to push beyond the car’s capabilities to make up time in those slow sections, compensating for all the time he’s losing on the straights during qualifying.
no-one is disputing lack of power ,but team cant just fold their arm and say they lack power ,redbull showed over the years what you can do with chassis even if pu is underpowered.the team has a plan i quess we just has to wait in these era of budget caps.diffuser wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 18:59Completely different tracks. You can’t do anything with 80-100hp deficit and a poor gearbox anywayBill wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 19:04no-one is disputing lack of power ,but team cant just fold their arm and say they lack power ,redbull showed over the years what you can do with chassis even if pu is underpowered.the team has a plan i quess we just has to wait in these era of budget caps.diffuser wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 18:59Completely different tracks. Yeah, they are just testing at this point. Trying to make the most of qualy, then test during sprint race. No chance with this PU for now to fight for points so focus is elsewhere for now.diffuser wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 18:59Completely different tracks. Edit it was pretty obvious Alonso wasn't racing. Another test session.
They seem to be down on deployment time. If everyone else averages 30 seconds of deployment per lap and AMR only has 15. That means your down 350kw for 15 seconds compared to others.Jambier wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 20:58You can’t do anything with 80-100hp deficit and a poor gearbox anywayBill wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 19:04no-one is disputing lack of power ,but team cant just fold their arm and say they lack power ,redbull showed over the years what you can do with chassis even if pu is underpowered.the team has a plan i quess we just has to wait in these era of budget caps.diffuser wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 18:59
