It's heartbreaking to see how slow the car is on straights. Honda should be ashamed of themselves
Alonso is error prone he lost a piece of front wing.perez showed whats possible.

It didn't make a difference. Montreal is a power track. Positive news 100% chance of rain tomorrow from 10am till 7pm.

Race pace was dredfull.....Perez could keep up whit the midfield, car clearly lacking power.
its not all about power, lack of updates is also costing team ,drivers too making mistake.in last race they could keep up with Cadillac despite lack of power.
Completely different tracks. Compared to Miami, half as much of the lap time is made up of slow sections. That’s why what happened yesterday happened: he’s trying to push beyond the car’s capabilities to make up time in those slow sections, compensating for all the time he’s losing on the straights during qualifying.

Edit it was pretty obvious Alonso wasn't racing. Another test session.

no-one is disputing lack of power ,but team cant just fold their arm and say they lack power ,redbull showed over the years what you can do with chassis even if pu is underpowered.the team has a plan i quess we just has to wait in these era of budget caps.

Alonso was slower than Stroll by nearly 0.5-1 second the entire race per lap. Not sure what happened.
Halo not as bad as we thought

Yesterday when things were looking (very slightly) up, it was a handling circuit.

You can’t do anything with 80-100hp deficit and a poor gearbox anyway

Yeah, they are just testing at this point. Trying to make the most of qualy, then test during sprint race. No chance with this PU for now to fight for points so focus is elsewhere for now.
Understandably they are focusing on getting the car ready for the B spec package. I saw they had 308 and 309 kph in the speed trap in sprint qualy while Hamilton had 330.

Might be painful now but in essence you’ve got Adrian Newey able to watch the whole field and their ideas from afar whilst he keeps cooking his ideas.

Think Aston may well reap the benefits, assuming Honda can deliver the engine eventually.

Will take alot to get into q2, fighting with haas, Williams, audi for it.
Also rain expected tomorrow so who knows what kind of setups they are running.
Edit: yeah, 19 and 21...

1.8 second gap with this power deficit is actually impressive.

They seem to be down on deployment time. If everyone else averages 30 seconds of deployment per lap and AMR only has 15. That means your down 350kw for 15 seconds compared to others.
