Fine with that and I guess Max will be pleased too despite a sub optimal setup

Hamilton had two tenths over max like for like, so it was going to be difficult to re-overtake. I think Max will be just a bit grumpy not taking P2.

Think Max was possibly faster than MCL today, and about the same pace as FER, the car seems to have problems with heating up the tires, so the stop -start with the VSCs affected the car too much. Still very encouraging, Mercedes a good 0.5-0.6s faster still in race pace.

It wasn't just the VSC. He had 7 second gap after the pitstop, so they were just too slow overall.

Lewis started pumping in quick times right from the pit, so the Ferrari got the mediums to work better, it took a while for Max to get the mediums running, he has the 2nd fastest time on mediums after Kimi in the race. The Ferrari was marginally faster in the 2nd stint, but on softs there was nothing between them.

It was pretty even on softs, medium bit slower than Ferrari.

When you see a clearly struggling and super slow Leclerc beating super comfortable and pleased with setup Hadjar, you know which car is faster.

Maybe there's hope for Monaco (although not optimistic since this setup for the bumps doesn't work in qualifying).

Engine performance was a bit sh-- today, consistently losing time on the straights even to the Ferrari. Wonder if they are making a play for ADUO because today it definitely looked more than 2% to whatever Antonelli has in the back of his car.

Not sure about Monaco either, but... Verstappen was fast in the slow corners today which is great considering the setup issues. Not a sprint so more time to get it right. Its all about qualifying so...

Anyway, they are winning races this year. Yes plural. The car is good.

Feels like a victory, finally a podium- what a relief!! What a race and battle with Lewis. Amazing very happy, finally some joy. Now bring some updates, and then we can fight, some good motivation for the team. Their first podium for new power unit, impressive. There is light at the end of the tunnel. :D =D>

Its a very old PU at this point. All free practice sessions, all sprints (China, Miami), and all GP.
