So true. He lost a bunch in the first Vsc and then some in the second vsc as well. Luckily he had the pace in that second stint. Can someone explain why Verstappen was able to pass him earlier?PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑24 May 2026, 23:40Good race. It was like two different cars. Just not a Leclerc track I guess.
Lewis has a bad babit of giving away time during VSC and SCs. Lucky to catch back Verstappen with an amazing pass.
Hamilton needs to bring this level to Monaco which is a track that he struggles at. It's hard to say right now because he's always quick in Canada.edu2703 wrote: ↑24 May 2026, 23:46Excellent weekend for Hamilton. I'd say it was the best he's had at Ferrari so far.
Meanwhile, Charles was nowhere the whole weekend. The P4 was entirely circumstantial, that he didn't deserve. We'll see if he can redeem himself after two poor races in Monaco, which may be the best chance Ferrari will have this season to achieve a good result without depending on retirements.
Yeah good call. Shows his immense experience. Big contrast with Piastri for example, moaning about boxing but getting overruled by his team. If you are so sure you want or do not want something, stick to it!rifrafs2kees wrote: ↑25 May 2026, 00:08Good call by Lewis today. I don't remember the lap, but Ferrari strategists asked Lewis to box-opposite Max. Lewis even with Max having not pitted, rightly declined the request because 2 other cars had just entered the pit lane just ahead.
Agreed; I'd be impressed if he's just 1 step behind Leclec.
The black arts called 'tyre temperature'. Low track temp coupled with slipperiness from overnight rain - tyres become a lottery. Redbull was able to keep S within temp range, Ferrari was able to keep M within temp range. No real corners at speed, to build some carcass temps. Even the Mercs were struggling with braking due to lack of tyre temps.Hammerfist wrote: ↑24 May 2026, 23:46So true. He lost a bunch in the first Vsc and then some in the second vsc as well. Ham should do better this time around, he qualified p4 last year with a car he struggled to drive, I expect him to be challenging for the podium spots in quali with leclerc in a couple weeks, still think leclerc gets pole thoughAR3-GP wrote: ↑25 May 2026, 00:08Hamilton needs to bring this level to Monaco which is a track that he struggles at. As for Leclerc, the less said the better. He wouldn't have scored points if other cars were as good as the Ferrari.
