I am curious how close the Aston Martin can be to making Q3 at Monaco. That would be quite the achievement.
They wont even be in Q2.In F1 no miracle,Aston didnt even know what is the right setup, what is the right seat lol. Is like you except every year williams to be in Q3 in Monaco...Nonsense...
No. So In Canada apart from the straights the car was horrible in traction so they got to crank the stiffness and that eats the rear tires. 70% of the reason for their atrocious race pace was the car ate up it's rear tires very quickly. That doesn't bode well for Monaco.
Of course. But if you did a good job in one area, that strength can give you a slight advantage on tracks that reward it. For example, a Williams with very good straight-line speed might be a little better at Monza. The best will still be the best. But with Alonso's experience, there might be a chance for a Q3 in Monaco. We need to improve the combustion,” he said. “We know how we improve the combustion, so we have some idea to improve combustion performance, and we have seen some positive signs on the dyno data.
“Also, let’s say, for example, friction. We need to reduce friction to improve performance, so that type of list we have now in the factory, and we have to keep working on to improve those things.

That's true, some PU manufacturers have chemical research facilities that research and develop fuels in house for use. Honda is one of them, and with Red Bull and Mobil, it was Honda who started to develop highly specialised compositions in Sakura optimised with their engine and was first raced in late 2019. By 2021 they had that real unusual blend the paddock was going on about with media outlets reporting it had weird chemicals usually found in the cosmetics industry.ispano6 wrote: ↑27 May 2026, 16:45Orihara:https://www.planetf1.com/news/honda-chi ... ll-be-seen“We know where we need to improve, for example, the combustion side. If you think Aramco isn't part of this upgrade... You only need to look to history to know Honda will continue to develop the fuel with/for their fuel supplier to extract the maximum, which they aren't there yet.
Even whit the seat problems he had in Canada, if he was in points he would have finished the race.PlatinumZealot wrote: ↑28 May 2026, 03:04Alonso retired from a bad pressure point in his seat.
Could this be another sign of his age is now becoming a serious impediment to being able to drive a Newey car? Keep in mind Newey cars are known to be very extreme when it comes to packaging. Imagine the irony if the 2027 car is a rocketship and poor old Alonso gets too many aches and pains and is unable to drive it.
