If something hurt Alonso it will hurt Antonelli too. This is not age related

The language used by Krack is hinting that the extreme reclined position is causing the back of the seat to be too close to another object and that is poking both Alonso and Stroll... Also implied the fix means they will lift the back his set up a bit.

Doesn't sound like his back is giving out.

Stroll body shape, body weight and height different, so they dont have the same seat and they said ,Alonso seat is new.

So on top of everything else, they also messed up driver comfort? This team is a joke atm.

Who cares! Who the F wanted to see Alonso get lapped 4 times anyways? They weren't racing, they were an obstacle for the cars that were racing. If they were close enough to the points to give them a hope of getting to the points, then maybe this is something. They finished at least 2 laps behind the points.

No, no, it's not like that. If there's a problem, there's no reason to keep lapping with it. But if there's no problem, the more laps, the better. And you should finish the races.
What if everyone outside the points threshold withdrew, or didn't come at all because we can't get points anyway? That kind of thinking wouldn't be professional.

If today isn't the day to win, it's the day to prepare for the days when you will win.

There was a problem, hence, Alonso did not keep lapping with it. If the car had any chance at a sniff at the points, he would have endured the pain. Otherwise, it would be unprofessional of the team to injure a driver in a car that will finish 3 or 4 laps down.

I think they got all the information they needed from the laps they did.

alonso has had chronic back since before hungarian gp in 2025. In other news. no slm mode in monaco. so we'll see how good the current chassis is. hopefully maybe pick up a point if we're lucky

I don’t think the team will get into Q2 in Monaco, but if Alonso has any magic left in the tank then he might just scrape in. I am not sure that Aston has enough data yet on this chassis/ set up to really do better than a Q1 elimination, but Monaco is the one track that can really elevate the best drivers, like karting. The track will certainly suit the down on power Honda PU better as the 80hp + deficit to the lead teams will be less noticeable. Fingers crossed 🤞 Alonso can put in a blinder in qualifying and actually finish the race. Any chance of rain ☔️ would be even better!

This has been a figure failure than I expected it to be. What a shame.
