Did Vasseur actually say that? The only source is Speedweek which in turn claims that it was out of an interview Vasseur gave to AutoHebdo. However, nothing can be found about this either on AutoHebdo’s website or on their YouTube channel. Don’t you think that such a spicy statement, especially with specific figures about performance differences, would have been reported by many others as well?
The funny thing is that in the original Speedweek article Vasseur was also quoted saying "But Mercedes is still well ahead, at least as far as the engine is concerned." - This does not sound like one or two tenths.
