I am happy that the team is finally doing something about the pit stops. Stroll had a 2.3 second stop in Hungary, and Alonso had a 2.3 second stop here. Consistent sub 2.5 seconds should be the norm of a top team.

Galsy Not being able to overtake despite being 0.6-0.8 off Alonso in T13 on 10 laps fresher mediums is testament to Honda's improvement. However, its time to talk about the elephant which is that the car itself was definetly on the draggier side. Monza Low Drag Setup should give insight to the improvemnts from Honda.

PS: Yes Alo got stuck behind Albon but The likes of Gasly was Stuck behind Sainz for 3-4 laps with the Merc Engine. So Starightline speed is now like 50% better.
Halo not as bad as we thought

It is not bad - it is atrocious. With a decent PU, this car would be best of the rest.

Have you ever thought about telling us something new? You don't think anybody here knows about the power deficit? It is what it is. The PU has obviously gotten lot better, especially in Race trim. I'm sure it will keep improving, not sure how coming here and shiiting all over it adds any value to this forum.
yes i a just did ,compared to past races they were not blown past easily on the straight by competing cars with similar pace which bodes well for future races.i am not here here to give news that suit your taste i too had to read a lot crap and trolling hear
Sorry, that comment was not directed to you, it was direct at SchuMassa

And Pedro Delarosa says car is still 10kg overweight and plan is to get to minimum in next 2 GP.
That's 0.6 more.
I read that 10kg was only about 0.3 tenths, but that is still a lot of crucial lap time.
Yeah I messed up while translating from Spanish.
It's unreal where Aston was 3 races ago compared to the Cadillac, and today Bottas was laped.

The race Engineer asked Alonso "if he got past Albon could lap faster", Alonso said no. So no to Albon holding Alonso back.

What evidence do you have that AMR26 is Draggy ?

gasley was hitting 219mph/352kph, which is the fastest on the grid today. safe to say alonsos top speed was nowhere near that. it had more to do with alonsos speed through corners and racecraft than anything (and some luck). big improvement by honda in this first race though.

I have to say I am pleasantly surprised after the results of qualifying. A well-managed race, a little luck, and a brilliant race by Fred. He likes the car and that's important. Hopefully we see gradual improvement as the season winds down. Then bam!! The 2027 car takes a step. It could be a pretty good year.

Alonso saying the new engine has made handling and downshifting worse. Hoping they can sort that out now they have a lot more data to work with

I’m happy I was wrong with pace and strategy.

Good result, the car is incredibly faster than before (spa)

Let’s hope for the weight reduction and upgrades, I think they will definitely fight for « best of the rest » chassis before the end of the season

Now let’s see if they can unleash a bit more power from the engine but main focus is 27

Operations were poor during previous sessions with rear wing not working, traffic and so forth. Good pitstops and strategy this time though. More of those 2.3 stops please.

Tyre deg is very, very good. With more weight reduction inbound and another set of aero updates corner performance should become even better.

Honda wise, despite my best wishes, I have to say I didn't see a noticeable improvement. Maybe a slight one, but definitely far away from the expected 30hp. Seeing ALO lose all the time in straights was difficult. Pattern was he gained 0.3-0.4 in the corners then lost 6 tenths down the straights. Lots of work still on PU side. 15hp are missing and drivability has to improve further.

ALO has just said after the race that Honda's Zandvoort update has been a step back in upshifts and downshifts and drivability and will need more races to fix, while he's optimistic about the chassis, basically confirming this. Of course I hope both sides of the car improve and hopefully Monza allows Honda to squeeze more and shorten the gap. But so far, it was below expectations. No blame game here just my opinion.

Rosberg said he heard in the pit lane that the car is still 30kg overweight, stop the blame game, play the team game. They will gain together.
Good race from Alo.
