Engines are developed together with technical partner that supplies lubricants. All Mercedes engines use Mobil oil. Just like all Ferrari engines use Shell (remember Sauber Petronas Ferrari). Will anyone officially confirm it? No.

For PETRONAS, the partnership will enable the oil and gas giant to generate sustainable business growth, particularly in their downstream lubricants market, through the strategic partnership and business alliance with Mercedes-Benz, one of the most prestigious global automotive brands.
It is not correct. Petronas have entered the sponsorship in order to gain the business from Mercedes. In the future all technical developments will be done with Petronas instead of Mobil 1. McLaren can obviously continue to use Mobil 1. Over time they may be excluded from ongoing developments though. I have my doubts that McLaren will be using Merc engines beyond 2011. In 2010 and 2011 McLaren will pay back the price for the Merc equity and at the end of 2011 Merc will quit to be a share holder. From 2012-2015 there is no guaranteed engine supply, only an option.
