Doesn't sound too good, not being able to test it properly beforehand.

Expect the McLaren design as the benchmark this year in terms of diffusor size.mith wrote:So they WILL have a new diffuser. I wonder how much will it evolve from current one.
Merc will need all the money they can make off the Schumacher connection to come even close to Ferrari's ritches. They are probably short by 200 mil $ by now.Paddock talk wrote:F1: Mercedes Set To Land Another Major Sponsor ?
Mercedes GP will reportedly unveil another major sponsor prior to the Bahrain season opener.
The German sport business publication 'Sponsors' said the funding was secured off the back of the involvement of returning seven time world champion Michael Schumacher.
The magazine said the sponsor is a German multinational that is new to formula one.
The Malaysian oil company Petronas is the newly branded Mercedes GP's title sponsor.

He surely meant front wing.
Don't think that anyone said they wouldn't have a new diffuser - some (like me) were merely stating that it wouldn't be that radically different to the current one. So don't expect to suddenly see a quad deck super diffuser that connects directly to the rear wing, merely an evolution of the one they are currently running.mith wrote:So they WILL have a new diffuser. Really, the upper deck opening is not that large and the area bounded by the lower wing and end plates is not sealed so not part of the diffusor in the strictest sense.
