Did anyone manage to see the 599 hybrid images on autoblog before they were removed?

Why is it always diced carrots and greens?

The car does look stupid in this colour, I agree. But from what I can remember it's the only time when any car manufacturer had the balls to unveil a 'green' car actually painted in the unfashionable green colour (not just this particular shade, but any sort green). It's always blue or white or silver. :)

It looks like Porsche has made Ferrari look silly yet again then.

It appears I was correct in the sense this is not a hybrid to save gas, it's a hybrid with a KERS unit for power at the press of a button. Turbo on demand. Much like an unlimited NOS tank without the engine life limiting factor.

Nothing wrong with that IMO. I would rather have a red Ferrari but that green looks good to me with the black roof.

But I also have a pair of bright yellow Adidas, so my opinion likely doesn't count.

Before you look at its weight (~1.5T) and it's not a GT. Looks good though. Very.

A link to their rolling laboratory page. Very topical but nice animation.

Just look at all those gears going round and round dragging out all that torque.
It was bad enough with two layshafts and twice the layshaft losses, now they stick another gearset with an electric motor on the end of it to take out even more torque.
Just as well it has got a huge six litre gas guzzler up front or it would probably barely turn a wheel let alone run electric on the urban cycle to con the regulations.
I have just finished reading all the Ferrari hybrid patent applications, I had to laugh.
They would have been better off painting Montezemelos nose green.
Might stop it growing next time he lies in the media.

Yeah it's quite ridiculous... a V12 with an electric engine to reducing emission in "urban cycle". Who will use a 6 liters V12 in a city by the way?
