I don't think so... the fin could probably still connect, and could kind of "slice through" the wing when the movable wing was activated.astracrazy wrote:i don't exactly know how the movable rear wing works, but I'm guessing the shark fin won't be able to connect to the rear wing because it will move?
3.9.1 No bodywork situated between 50mm and 330mm forward of the rear wheel centre line may be more than 730mm above the reference plane.
Yes it has. This is from the F1Tech Article on the homepage:bjpower wrote:has the loop hole for the fearri wheels been closed or will all the cars have the wheel covers?
“12.4.6 When viewed perpendicular to the plane formed by the outer face of the wheel and between the diameters of 120mm and 270mm the wheel may have an area of no greater than 24,000mm2.”
And we move yet closer to spec cars. How long before we see a "claimer car" rule? How about a standardized body a la NASCAR?volarchico wrote:Yes it has. No more shaped wheel spokes
After the static front wheel fairings that abounded in 2009, were banned and the wheel design homologated, there must have been some surprise that Ferrari managed to create an aerodynamic wheel shape in 2010. This is partly limited now by the restriction on surface area for spokes and shaping. The limited only allows 13% of the wheel centre to be spoked, meaning that a ten spoke wheel has to have spokes just 16mm wide.

I'm all for low noses. Drivers need to have a more upright position to be able to watch what happens at the front of the car. High noses with the nose point above 120 mm will be banned from 2013 to keep the CoG of front wheel KERS down. This could potentially already happen in 2012.Owen.C93 wrote: no high noses is a bit pointless IMO.
Wow that is great, why not make it a spec series afterall? every car is just going to look the same.WhiteBlue wrote:I'm all for low noses.
