What´s the situation here? Was theer not talk to ban them for cost reasons?
I know that it was meaned to be last year allready, but Bridgestone and the teams objected for safety reasons.
Now with a new supplier, it would have been a good time to make the switch.
Anyone can bring me up to speed, as what the current situation is?
Some stated, that the "homologation" of the chassis/tub was scraped for this year ( dunno if this is the case or not), but if it´s the case, it would be "strange" to still have a "homologated" nose cone (for cost reasons) - IMHO
AFAIK it´s the
nose cone, that´s subject to the crash test, not the wing as such.
But it´s conceivable, that the new front wing is designed around a specific nose cone (shape).
