Next season poses a problem for both HRT and Virgin. If one examines the deficit to the midfield pace its 3s and 2s for HRT and Virgin respctively. The fact is with a cost capped budget you won't close that gap.
If HRT could half that deficit with next year's budget it would be a miracle. One aspect Wirth got right was that the smaller team's won't compete against bigger outfits by copying them, thats why he chose an all cfd approach but he'd already been compromised with a low budget transmission.
I don't feel HRT can afford a battery KERS system for next year and the only cost effective system remains the Flybrid CFT one which I would guess is as powerful as the Williams inhouse battery system without all the complexity of installation and cooling.Being totally enclosed it needs no servicing through the season which is a massive cost saving.
