I was hoping we'd get to see him in the W04. Awesome.

I´m under the impression that Rosberg Schumacher will keep the kettle on boil ....there is no excuse for Brawn next year..good to know.
I´m looking forward to see the result of all the effort.

Well looks like Rosberg extended his stay to at least 2013 with the option for longer.

MSC has apparently refused to have a contract extension. Rosberg who said they are bound to be on top with the current technical leadership & that Willis is making a big difference probably is being less pragmatic.

Michael does want to waste another year with a such a crap car,he said he wants to be SURE the team is improving significantly & that it can seriously challenge for the Championship next year. Or something of that sort. And he also wants to make sure he is still enjoying it.

He is being very realistic,Roberg said W03 must REGULARLY challenge for podiums & atleast 3-4 podiums for Michael will be the minimum requirement for continuation. I really done think if he gets 1 or 2 odd podiums,he is going to re-sign. W03 has to be significantly better, atleast as good as ferrari is 2011.(F150 Italia or whatever they call it).

Michael is applying serious pressure to perform now.just imagine the car is not up to the job next year...and he is quitting rubber stamping all the effort as a total loss in the process..he would effectively chop the head off all the guys and end the whole project it seems....it´s just the topping on the cake which could easily turn ínto a bomb ready to explode if MGP does not deliver next year.I expect fireworks.

That is exactly contrary to what Schumacher has said Marcush. He expects 2012 to be similar to 2011.
Schumacher wrote: It is unlikely that in 2012 we will be in a position to go for the title, because first we need to lay down the foundation that we can then use in 2013,”
He signed on until 2013 for a reason. That is when he expects them to win.

there is a misunderstanding here.I think he did not extend his contract yet as he wants to see the bandwagon pick up speed first. He clearly stated he expected a lot more up to now when he signed with Mercedes in 2009 and he stated that first the technicval issues have to be sorted before even considering an extension to his contract -he just does not feel he is going to carry on like this forever..To me his expectation was he has to shake off his rustyness and then he can challenge for a title. It was a major surprise when he realised that he had not signed for a team with the capacity to win the title in year two.I think that is what both Nico and Schumacher realised only this year just how far back MGP is or was.

Ok, he hasnt signed officially. But the rhetoric suggests it will be a formality.

But to anyone with a bit of savvy will realise Willis Bell and Costa wont all have been able to fully utilise the W03 to the level of RB given they need time to gel and work together from concept inception.
They will have a clear shot at 2013, and this will be Schumacher's best chance.

And knowing why Schumacher returned to F1, and his ambition to succeed, I think it would be natural for him to remain for 1 year longer given that he seems to have lost little if anything in terms of competitiveness now he is fully up to speed.
More could have been done.
