The Ferrari fans are probably sadder. Saddled with a sad car and a sad no. 2 driver.Websta wrote:Did anyone see Massa after qualifying in Bahrain? He looked like the saddest man in the world.
Felipe was a lot closer in 2010 though. Hockenheim 2010 was the start of the decline. If you looked at him after sessions, he almost has a "what's the point of pushing" demeanor about him.Maelstrom wrote:You know.. the main problem is that Alonso is beating him so spectacularly. There are situations where one driver is better than his partner on certain tracks, certain temperatures and weather conditions, etc. But Alonso has flat out beat Massa everywere.. and not just beat him.. but beat him humiliatingly.
I think he's shown much better pace the last couple of races, in Bahrain in particular where he has looked capable of upstaging Alonso a couple of times even if he didn't pull it off. Hopefully he's finally getting over his issues and will be able to start putting together some decent finishes.Maelstrom wrote:Two races? He wasn't in the points in China.
Though it was a good performance from him today. Under all the pressure he is under it's even better.
ever since his accident he hasn't been the same, and the win that got taken away from him didn't help also massa was on podiums in 2010 and was very unlucky in 2011 with contact from other drivers, having to stay out longer to help fernando and like i said theres always pressure in any team to deliver but even more so in ferrari. i see your point but don't forget fernando is favoured by ferrari and i don't think other drivers would like to drive for ferrari right now because of those reasons.
He was only 5 seconds behind Alonso in China which is why it was a good race. I don't suspect many drivers would be able to regularly beat Alonso, certainly not any available drivers, so if Massa's recent performance continues, I don't see much point in replacing him.Maelstrom wrote:Two races?
