So Fernando is 10th today, and so far I don't have too many complaints yet, although I will admit I don't have intimate knowledge of all the drivers from times gone by (read pre-1996 era) because I never got to watch them.
I rate Alonso very highly, so he provides a bench mark for me on the list, and to be honest I can't think of 10 drivers that I would consider better than him so it should get interesting as to just who they've decided to put above him. If Vettel pokes his head within the top 10, and I think he will, Benson is going to get slated.
I do however have two small niggles with the current list so far though:
1. Lewis - I understand why he is on the list but I feel he is too high, and maybe he is just not deserving yet.
2. Gilles Villenure was clearly a great F1 racer, but he only had 6 races and I feel we only ever got to see the best of him unlike many others who we also got to see at their worst.
There is also an argument, with the exception of Schumacher, that no current driver should go on that list yet.
Its only at 10, and the big guys are yet to come, what are your thoughts on the list thus far and those expected to appear higher?
