I think that Vettel is more or less in the condition like when Michael was in Benetton. He's young, he's a very good driver and he's making a very good experience. So this could be, of course in the theory, but if you have to ask me a name I have to tell you this name
They teamed up with him, because he is Mr Schumacher.gibells wrote:I fail to see how a Chinese Multi-National Sponsor can be claimed as Schumacher's own.
I'd love to see that. But from what i've seen/read in the last week i think he is a long way from driving an F1 car again let alone competing.ElleMarie wrote:im going to say this, and ill be glad to read it in the future. If i could win the lottery today, i would put all my money to bet on Kubica: He will make an epic comeback and become Formula One Champion.dren wrote:I don't expect to ever see Kubica in an F1 car again, sadly.marcush. wrote:Kubica back ? that would really be awesome .he really deserves a proper second chancefighting back from that setback..
Would he even be eligible for a superlicense these days? wait..Schumacher was away for a lot longer...so it should not be a problem.
What? The phrase means to 'finalize' something.raymondu999 wrote:You realise "final nail in the coffin" means that the end is a sure thing, right? As opposed to a definite decision being made. lol.
IIRC Merc allows Shumi personal sponsors. Is the new sponsor signed with Merc or Shumi? I'm suspecting by the quotes, they signed Shumi, but with a little money for the team as well. Shumi has a much better image than his unfortunate choice of comeback vehicle.zyphro wrote:They teamed up with him, because he is Mr Schumacher.gibells wrote:I fail to see how a Chinese Multi-National Sponsor can be claimed as Schumacher's own.
Do a quick google search of Erlinyou and you'll find countless sources directing you to exactly that.
If that wasn't enough:
"As the most recognizable and accomplished driver of our time, we are enthusiastic that his influence and expertise will allow us to offer the finest and most technically advanced GPS product on the market today."
MS's words of he being valuable to sponsors, clearly holds substance in an abundance.
As I said ,Schumacher is already a brand and worth a lot of money -no matter which car he is driving or if he is driving at all.zyphro wrote:http://www.motorsport-total.com/f1/news ... 91711.html
New 7.5 million euro sponsorship deal for MSC
The deal is exclusively with Schumacher, however, because of the fact he is drives for MGP, it raises the profile of Mercedes.Pierce89 wrote: IIRC Merc allows Shumi personal sponsors. Any team that Schumacher were to hypothetically sign for, would gain huge leverage in sponsorship for sure (if you go along the lines of what his new sponsor stated, it's pretty apparent he's a valuable marketing asset).marcush. wrote:back to Schumacher-he is not retireing ,thank god.
But surely every team willing to sign him will if doing so have a huge leverage on finding potent sponsorship + Mr.Schumacher will not really need any payment from the team itself.(MGP Daimler will be charged the discount price of 7mill€ nevertheless, Mr.Brawn paying?)
