The track layout is just *dull*, they're 100% right that it's *all* 90° corners. The only exception are the last two corners, which really are taken as one (you guessed it) 90° corner.
I thought Valencia was boring too.. until...
2012 PIRELLI BUBBLE GUMS!!
No one can say what to expect from the tack this year with these tyres; seemingly boring tracks have totally transformed in mysterious ways.
Anyway, I really like when Singapore comes around. I like the lights, the upgrades, the movie-like atmosphere with the glitz and glamour (big star studded concerts!), the climate! which poses a big challenge for the drivers, and finally the track itself.
The track is a gauntlet! 23 slow speed turns that are very unforgiving, a lot of them 90 degrees which i love, the bumps, the curbs, the dust. Only true hand eye precision, mental focus and real endurance can take you through to the finish line! A real drivers track I think it is. People have been disputing the drivers track appraisal for a while, but lets be real here, there are not many tracks where the drivers out qualify teammates by over half second to one second! There must be something in this track that causes that.
Viewers may not feel the buzz that the Challenge brings to the drivers because of the processional nature of the track, but I think the Pirellis might cause a shake up this time around.
