Someday we will know all the rubbish around MGP, and more than one will be surprised/shocked.
Schumacher is the most commited driver I have ever seen so there must be some serious reasons, and his driving ability with 43 years is not one of them.
What an emotional post, spoken like a true fan. Just for perspective:
2010 WDC
7. Rosberg 142 pts.
9. Schumacher 72 pts.
2011 WDC
7. Rosberg 89 pts.
8. Schumacher 76 pts.
2012 WDC
7. Rosberg 93 pts.
12. Schumacher 43 pts.
And that is just points, over the last three seasons he has made some pretty rookie mistakes and some desperately questionable moves.
For anybody not irrationally biased it has been clear that Schumacher today is not the same he was 8 years ago. I applaud him for coming out of retirement with little to gain and everything to lose, but you'd have to be pretty blindsighted not see the obvious.
It's time to quit. Even if Sauber wants him, he should just accept the inevitable and look forward to the next chapter.
