They were struggling to understand what was happening and they just weren't making progress at that time, that's the point. They're not immune to all that just because they're 'Red Bull'. Ferrari and McLaren had their opportunities during that period. Once RB got past that point things got easier and Ferrari and McLaren missed their chances.
Guess you forgot about how much RB struggled with the tunnels, even taking them off completely because their CFD & track data wasn't correlating.
It had nothing to do with correlation. They had a car where they were trying to get it to do certain things they could do in 2011, they didn't know how to accomplish them and the car simply wasn't having it - not that the car was ever really bad this year. That's where you need to go beyond CFD and raw data and start generating actual ideas from grey matter.
It happens to everyone & all teams test parts in much the same way. Ferrari is no different.
Red Bull got their difficulties out of the way early on in the season. It's a little late for Ferrari to be having the struggles they're having now at the end of the season. There just isn't the time now, that's the point.
