F1 prides itself of being the the largest television spectacle after the FIFA Worldcup and Olympics with a claimed viewership of over 600 million.
How is this even possible considering the core viewership in Europe for the last race was
Germany - 11 million
Italy - 10 million
Spain - 7 million
http://f1broadcasting.wordpress.com/201 ... nd-europe/
France - probably 2 million
UK - probably 4 million
Australia - probably 4 million
only other country with a large enough audience in millions must be Brazil
So where does the remaining millions come from? F1 is popular in Asia, but i am sure that the remaining 500 million views are from there.
Is 600 million just a myth? or is it the entire seasons viewership of 30 million a race avg, which is hardly exciting a number.
