I have the "...more" option on the right of the "Expand / Respond / Retweet" row that seems to be missing in the Alonso screenshot. But maybe it's because of my settings or screen resolution.

But then again, if he tweeted this I don't see the point of it.

Apparently a GP3 press officer, who receives every Alonso tweet in text message format - never received a text message on this, which would mean we can call this fake.

I'll edit my opening post to reflect this.

Mods can we lock? Unless, of course, the cybersleuths here want to discuss the dynamics of falsified computer imagery...

a small blue symbol.
It goes on your profile, but if you were to go to your twitter timeline on a browser it doesn't show the blue checkmark, to my knowledge
It does appear - one more signal for being fake.

You don't need to photoshop to make something look legit on a website
Indeed. You can never tell - but you can at least try to understand via what's available for you as a user, on the other side of the screen, to check whether there has been a manipulation - local minima of the cell, etc. That's why I said "try harder" to the 'person X' who originally faked this photo.
I can also tell from your screenshot that you're using F1 Techincal zoomed, which is visible by the size and look of the font, which is Trebuchet MS 10 pt. by default for text - and it's evidently different in your screenshot :) Nice job, though :)

Leandra, the GP3 PR said she receives text messages when Alonso tweets (never knew about that feature) and he has never got anything like that.

I think we can safely put a latch on this thread :)

This proves only that a great number of people today are so gullible and detached from reality, taking for granted everything they see on the Internet. A real pray for frauds and vicious ill intended people.

A non issue as was the case with Lewis. People somehow love blowing things out of proportion.
