Not sure how Alonso will feel after hearing this.
Sergio Perez, Nico Hulkenberg and Romain Grosjean also on their watched list, but not Lewis.

Funny how MdZ forgets that RedBull is Vettel's second team and thus Ferrari would be his third team, just as it would be with Hamilton. Ferrari is Alonso's fifth team when he arrived (Minardi, Renault, McLaren, Renault, Ferrari). And yet he wouldn't have Hamilton because Ferrari would be his third team."Because he is younger, and because Ferrari would be Hamilton's third team. And if you've reached your third team, your career is already in its second half."
Actually RBR is the third F1 team Vettel is driving for. BMW Sauber, Scuderia Toro Rosso, Red Bull Racing were the teams he drove for. Ferrari would be team #4.Just_a_fan wrote:Funny how MdZ forgets that RedBull is Vettel's second team and thus Ferrari would be his third team
A team and driver contract is a mutual thing, if driver doesn't want to continue with the team, the team cant insist he drives, and same happen if the team decided to find a replacement no.1hecti wrote:Alonso wont go until his contract is over, and probably his option is exercised, there is also no way Santander will allow that to happen, they are heavily funding ferrari and to cut Alonso's contract would mean cutting Santander's contract as well.
Yes, Felipe is still on a knifes edge, and has to outperform his teams expectations to even have a remote chance at staying. So its no surprise that they are looking for a number 2.
I actually think it is just a stupid and illogical excuse for not wanting a dark color Ferrari driver.WhiteBlue wrote:Actually RBR is the third F1 team Vettel is driving for. I don't think it is to do with Hamilton's skin colour. But rather what he said in the past. Hamilton always said it clearly he never had interest to go to Ferrari.CHT wrote:I actually think it is just a stupid and illogical excuse for not wanting a dark color Ferrari driver.
Ferrari is a national symbol for the italians. italians football fans for example, are infamous for the racism towards colored skin footballers. Even Berlusconi once described US President Barack Obama as tanned.scuderiafan wrote:I do hope you are joking.CHT wrote:

Hmmm, a german driving for a team that doesn't condone racism. Probably not a good look for anyone.CHT wrote:Ferrari is a national symbol for the italians. italians football fans for example, are infamous for the racism towards colored skin footballers. Given a choice, I think Ferrari would want to avoid getting into any controversy which could badly affect their brand image.
