2 races in a row with mechanical problems for 1 car in a team that has had an immpecable record of reliability for the last 6-7 years.

If Ferrari influenced someone to sabotage Renault as implied by MC in another thread, then this must be the same. The FIA must have done it. They are trying to appease Renault by allowing them to win the WC & Constructors title so they don't quit F1 like Michelin & go crying back to France. :P
The only difference being we know you are saying is tongue in cheek.

Well Ferrari have had to push development in order to catch up Renault all year long. And now that they finally made it, I think the team may have pushed it just a tiny bit too far.

On the other hand, Suzuka's engine failure was something unexpected for the team and probably not really a consequence of Ferrari's design and build process.

So, if the problem is fixed completely before the race (which is still not clear at the moment) Michael might win the race or possibly become second. And as Renault stated, nothing really changes for Alonso, just take as much points as possible.

After all, hasn't that been the motto of Alonso this year? ;)

Well well well, can almost see it happen, Alonso taken out in first corner and Shoe advancing to first place after 2 laps (now he´s got gears again) and becoming champ in his last year.....

Dreams do come true (some times) *GG*

No jokes, Might the best man win today!
It´s going to be a great race.

Don't you think that schumi has more of a chance of being caught up in some sort of collision than Alonso.

With rookies Kubica and Rosberg in front and behind and they have never raced at circuit hmmmm

Well yes strictly speaking, but don´t forget that he have years of experience to deal with these kind of problems, so IRL NO, he will simply just overcome that kind of problems, ´cause thats where years of experience (and luck) realy counts.

But somewhere deep down, I do realise that his chances of a last title, is very slim.... :( :(

Yes, and that's the only time ever that he has won a race after starting from 2-digit position.

Okay, I didn't imply that they had a complete engine failure because otherwise they should've changed it by now.
As usual Dave, you explain yourself better than I explain myself.

And please, Conspiracy Theory is already a bad movie, no need to reenact it here in the forum using words as Sabotage. I thought you were just joking, but some of you have taken it a little bit too far.

I love it Martin Brudle on his gridwalk asks kimi why he isn't going to the presentation for schumi where he received a trophy from pele.

"I was having a ---" was the reply. Martin replied "at least your car will be lighter"!

They will love and embrace him at ferrari

God is watching! Justice is pleased after the mass dampers and the penalty in Monza.

Woo-hoo!

It was impossible mission - beating Ferrari, FIA and bad luck!

Great drive from Button and excellent tyre cutting from Fisichella

Congratulations to Alonso and Renault. They weren't always the fastest on the grid, but they were quick and consistent, and that's the key. Respect is definitely due. Great season.

Phenomenal race from Schu. I would've loved for him to have gotten the win, but coming back from an unfortunate incident which left him nearly a lap down to finish fourth was a tremendous accomplishment. As nearly everyone will remember Schu for his determination, through the good and bad, this was a fitting end to his career.

And by the way, I hope those who often criticize Michael for his driving give Fisi the same treatment. He was clearly beaten, and he should've conceded the position. Very poor judgment on Fisi's part.

Button also had a fantastic race, showing great determination to come back from yesterday's failure in qualifying. It's been a good season for him all around. Maybe next year, he and Honda can finally turn the corner and be competitive all year long.

Of course, it goes without mention that Massa performed flawlessly. I think he's surprised quite a few people this year. Aside from his mishaps in the wet, I think he's proven himself to be a very capable driver. The battle between he and Kimi at Ferrari next year should prove to be very interesting.

It was a good season, and one to remember. It's just a shame that it's over.

Manchild, you need to get a countdown clock going for the first race of next season.

Excellent race the good guys won in the end, the FIAt did there best but renault shone through.

Fisi and also kimi i thought didn't do much wrong defending his position to schumi in the closing stages, at least he didn't back down & wimp out like every other driver i.e kubica, barracello.

Most of all the impressive drives of the super aguris 7th and 9th fastest laps on the race..not bad at all.

Can't wait for next season to start. Looks like another winter and football.

Somewhat ironic to see Yamamoto above Sato there, but hey, with only Renault/Ferrari/Honda and 1 McLaren above them it's a damn fine performance. Sato's 10th place is very nice too, SA has done some amazing work on developing the SA06. Let's hope they can get a better start next season and score some points. Has there been any word on what chassis they will be using next year? I believe they weren't allowed to use the RA106, so would we be looking at an SA06B, SA07 or another multi-year old reclamation-chassis?

Congratulations to Massa on a fantastic win and a flawless weekend. Alonso did exactly what he had to do, and won the WDC. Both Shu and Button overcame problems to put in fantastic finishes.
Fisi di dhis job, although his challenging against a pass by Shu was questionalbe, that's why the rules require that the front wing endplate is rounded. Shu tried everything to win, but it was ironic he was on the receiving end of questionable behavior, as they say "what goes around comes around".
Lots of drama, lots happened. In the end it was the fans (especially the Brazilians) won, by watching a good race and an entertaining season.
Stars of the day, Massa, Alonso, Button, and turn one.
