On the contrary, the reason for making such an offer is precisely because other countries want to host F1 races. No one with any sense will sign a 50 year contract for a F1 race. Bernie knows this and knows that the Aussies will have to say "no thanks". That then frees up a slot in the calendar which can then be sold to a country that is prepared to pay FoM silly money for a race - and definitely lots more than the Aussies will be paying for their race slot.
He gets to look like the good guy whilst the current Aussie GP guys get to look "ungrateful" etc.
It's exactly the sort of game that Bernie plays.
If you are more fortunate than others, build a larger table not a taller fence.
