If my memory is correct then Horner also stated that that was the car configuration Ferrari had already used at their previous Pirelli test.Huntresa wrote:So Ferrari is gonna do a test with a 2011 car but with 2013 FWs and RWs etc, Red Bull are complaining and asking FIA bout the rules and clarification
i don't know how many more year they will take to fix that damn "qualifying issue" , you build car every other year with same set of issue , this year they can't even complain about "wind tunnel" , something is seriously wrong with them and issue is Fernando has no where else to go but to stick with "crippled prancing Horse" for now.donskar wrote:Agree -- sadly -- that Massa should be replaced. I like Hulkenberg as a good #2.
More important: how long will Alonso continue to throw away some of his best years driving for a team that cannot deliver him a winning car?
Too bad it didn't work so easily for Mclaren. Newey popped out some dogs back then(18 & 21)donskar wrote:Agree completely. However, IMHO, Give Newey:
1) a competitive budget
2) decent facility
3) top 5 driver
and he'll give you a championship.
Ferrari, M-B and McLaren (and possibly Lotus) have 1), 2), and 3), but they do not have Newey. Results speak for themselves. That's why I'm hoping Allison goes to Ferrari. IMHO, the only way to beat Newey is with a group of highest quality technical people. There's one preeminent genius in F1 -- Newey -- and it will take an excellent team of very good people to beat him. Maybe.
Well that hasn't been proven yet. Mercedes show that a group of smart people can come close, but only so much.donskar wrote: There's one preeminent genius in F1 -- Newey -- and it will take an excellent team of very good people to beat him. Maybe.
