See, and the more I look at it, it looks like the change in profile near the end plates is because they wanted to accommodate the 3 drag reducing slots (if you extrapolate the central main plane profile there isn't room for 3).
Also, is it just me, or is the gap between the DRS flap and the end plate bigger and have 2 distinct parts?
That is also a viable option, though even without the change in profile it looks like it is possible to keep 3 slots. Remember, mclaren brought this last year:

With flatter and less angled wings like that you btw don't need as many slots as with a normal spec one.
Agree that you don't need as many as there isn't as much drag...but if you extrapolate you'd see that the main plane would end up almost touching the third slot...overall, neither one of us really know haha
But both are plausible or maybe even a combo...good discussion though
Yeah it is plausible. Maybe one triggered the other.
The way the wing is made makes me feel they didn't left themselves with a big margin for error. The way they designed it, the only small drop towards the endplates, it looks like they designed it into the smallest details. You can also see by the holes that there aren't alot of wing settings with it.
Very unlike Williams, who basicilly just took their normal wing design, and pulled the middle of it to above.
