There´s something about this car on the opening laps that makes it a dog. (a fast one)
I don´t know if it´s weight, tire temps or some other thing but both have problems keeping their positions on opening laps.
It had more downforce then the Red Bull yet on the first few laps it was something like a second off pace in S2.
Now we can conclude that Hamilton and Vettel are equally quick and have no problems squeezing out everything from cars so it does make you wonder what just is up with the car during the first few laps.
It´s supposed to be faster then the red bull in S2 all the time, every lap.
Edit: Interesting hearing from Brawn the same thing. Not sure why they struggle on the opening laps and get better towards the end of the race.

The only real change apart from balance from start to finish is fuel.... I wonder if they are simply not at a disadvantage to Renault engines who are said to be much more fuel efficient = less fuel to start with.
