Agreed with the both of you.xDama wrote:Some people's fanboyism/hatred around certain teams/drivers in F1 is just embarrassing.MOWOG wrote:
It can be argued two ways IMO - either Vettel's advantage will be wiped out, or he will adapt quicker to the new driving style and have an initial advantage (to be eroded over time) Look at how beautifully he incorporated the EBD into his driving with an oversteery turn-in and straight on the throttle to squelch the slide and gain traction.turbof1 wrote:Really looking forward to what he can bring to the table. Next year every single driver out there will have to adapt to the new generation of cars; a big part of Vettel's initial advantage will be whiped out by that.
Incorporating the EBD into your driving style is not unique to Vettel. In Addition, which EBD system can we say worked as well as Red Bull's? I think this is the point Turbo is making. Vettel has had an advantageous system before, and continues to enjoy equipment supremacy regardless of EBD, Coanda etc etc.raymondu999 wrote:It can be argued two ways IMO - either Vettel's advantage will be wiped out, or he will adapt quicker to the new driving style and have an initial advantage (to be eroded over time) Look at how beautifully he incorporated the EBD into his driving with an oversteery turn-in and straight on the throttle to squelch the slide and gain traction.turbof1 wrote:Really looking forward to what he can bring to the table. No, but he adapted it the quickest.FoxHound wrote:Incorporating the EBD into your driving style is not unique to Vettel.
Which EBD system can we comment on the effectiveness of anyway? We cannot isolate how much was chassis and how much was EBD.In Addition, which EBD system can we say worked as well as Red Bull's?
It's an extremely mental sport and as Martin Brundle said you're either giving pressure or you're taking it. A smile is one thing but a guy who has one permanently painted on to his face in all situations is as fake as it gets. He even forgets himself on occasions in interviews, particularly after a tough race, and then immediately realises. You don't have to have the brains of a psychologist to see it nor to see that he's been schooled in it as a way of deflecting pressure. 'Just being happy to be in Formula 1' is the height of naivety.smr wrote:Yep, to be honest if you have any brains you can see that Daniel's smiling is genuine and not faked. He just beams from ear to ear because he's so happy to be in F1... I'd be exactly the same!
In relation to whom? Webber? I'd agree.raymondu999 wrote:No, but he adapted it the quickest.
Adrian Newey, Red Bull Racing's technical director, admitted that his team had the most to lose from the ban on off-throttle blown diffusers because the Red Bull RB7 had been designed around the concept, in comparison to other teams who had simply applied it to their respective cars after the fact.
The RB brain washing team must have been working on him from an early age .... or perhaps it's his natural facial expression?munudeges wrote:A smile is one thing but a guy who has one permanently painted on to his face in all situations is as fake as it gets.
