Who would you vote to be the driver of the year for 2013
My vote goes to Hulkenberg
Big fan of Nico, but no. Driver of the year is decided upon the entire year, not the last few races. There's only one candidate for the top spot, and I'd say Kimi and Lewis for 2/3. But Nico can certainly challenge Alonso and Grosjean.bucker wrote:Hulk or Romain....both were amazing in the last few races
Agreed. To manage to lead so many laps with a car that heavy and that slow. Amazing.zonk wrote:Bernd Mayländer
Like being out qualified by Massa 5 times?Joie de vivre wrote:I have to go with Alonso. Just amazing what he gets out of this crappy car.

I think the simple fact is that Button and Alonso have been let down by their respective teams. Time and time again Ferrari has been lacking in development, not helped this season by the change of tyres mid season. Mclaren under the stewartship of Lowe and Whitmarsh decided to implement a radical overhaule of their 2012 car, similar to what they did for the 2011 car which also proved a bad decision at the start of the season - a team that doesn't learn from their mistakes has something wrong in their decision making process.marcush. wrote:Driver of the year?

Hulk deserves a place up there as well -he never bowed and consistently delivered unfortunatelly the car did too often not allow him to bag points.
Grosjean no .We should not forget he was trailing Kimi by quite a margin at the beginning of this year and only recently found new confidence.
Alonso is certinly delivering the goods in terms of pure racecraft but to me a team leader needs to guide his team towards developing the car forward ....it does not happen.
Same with Button ,he is not giving up yet seems unables to give the team a development direction .
Neither Hamilton nor Rosberg have showed consistency this year it tips and turns they seem to be quite comfortable in leaving it as it is ....but really nothing outside the norm here .
My vote goes for Vettel with Hulk in second position .
