Hi, I'm Stuart by the way.

I think it would mean less action, since all cars 8 and lower would have little chance of gaining anythingDaliracing wrote:why not go back to the pointsystem where only the first 6 driver gain points? maybe then we will see more action fighting for points. in the past more drivers started a single gp then nowadays.
I agree wholeheartedly. I only wish there was a way to award points for driving ones ass off in inferior equipment. I love to see Botas , Bianchi, Hulkenberg or Nakajima or even Button in a @#$%box of a McLaren step up and perform beyond all expectations. That kind of performance should be rewarded...but how?kalinka wrote:If they feel so brave to make these changes, they should go for more "traditional" points awards, like points for pole position and fastest lap , or leading a race IMHO..they had so much more other possibilities, but then this crap come out of their heads....

But F1 has a stake in us. If we desert F1, then the main source of their revenue is history. And quite frankly they have been dissing us fans for about a decade now. We watch F1 on TV, we go to races, we fill Bernie's pockets, but instead of acknowledging our importance, he indirectly jacks up ticket prices, ignores us and tries to go attract NFS fans, and progressively ruins the spectacle each time he comes up with some crap idea (2005 single tyre rules, refueling ban, Pirelli tyres, now this points debacle).Just_a_fan wrote:Why should they consult the fans? F1 isn't a democracy. You don't have any stake in the sport other than as a bystander.FoxHound wrote:Anyone else notice that not a single fan, or fan based group was consulted in this process?
There should be a transparency in the process rather than what is happening now.
FIA has now beyond dought crossed the line into comedy.

Bernie is a powerful man, but ultimately we feed him money. We deserve more acknowledgement.
That is pretty much how I feel they are seeing this from afar, I can't make any sense of it at the present time. Would it be silly of me to say that Formula 1 is becoming "too" artificial?Red Schneider wrote:I am not pleased by this rule change, but what you guys are apparently missing is that as long as you plan to watch next year, they do not care what you think.
At all.
What I'm saying is that whatever anyone says, F1 is an entertainment business. That means they want eyeballs.Hail22 wrote:That is pretty much how I feel they are seeing this from afar, I can't make any sense of it at the present time. Right, so let's all stop watching. Bernie is assuming that us "hardcore fans" will watch despite whatever madness that they implement, so he is assuming that he can afford to not give a damn about us.Red Schneider wrote:I am not pleased by this rule change, but what you guys are apparently missing is that as long as you plan to watch next year, they do not care what you think.
