I'll be very surprised if we don't get a repeat of 09 - in that one 'loophole' will define 2014.

Hopefully it comes from somewhere other than Milton Keynes..

When KERS was first introduced, many teams were struggling with its reliability and over heating etc. I think the same is going to happen next year when team starts to run a more powerful KERS unit, but this time the impact will be much greater.

An ERS failure will put you out of the race, so it's unlikely that anyone, even RB, will go extreme on the packaging front.

Clearly, whilst it is going to be an engine formula, all areas of reliability are going to be just as important as pure grunt.

Räikkönen is the number two. The Finn is here to take points away from Alonso's opponents! Obviously, Ferrari boss does not see a World Championship candidate in new recruit Kimi Räikkönen. "We hired Kimi," said Montezemolo, "because we wanted a quick driver with a lot of experience. He knows that he is in the second half of his career. He's particularly good in race trim and can take points away from Alonso's opponents there." Montezemolo clarifies: "Kimi's presence will be important so that Fernando is not left alone in his fight for top spots and important points."

That quote is quite interresting seeing how Alonso and Raikkonen both made their debut in the same year. Also, Raikkonen had 2 years out of F1 in between, Alonso only 1 where he was test driver.

So, by that Alonso is the more experienced one and also more likely to be "in his second phase".

The quote, although probably some stuff got lost in translation and it is typed to attracted more people, just shows how far up Alonso's ass Di Montezemelo really is. I don't like Raikkonen, but with that said I hope he defeats Alonso the coming season.

Monte has no reason to care specifically about Alonso. Whether it´s Kimi, Alonso or Massa(08) leading the way, that´s the number 1 in the team.
I´m sure he admires Alonso (who doesn´t?) but if Kimi starts beating Alonso, Monte will be playing Kimi´s violin for the rest of the season.

As far as fireworks next year. It depends i think. Dog = no fighting, just massive teamwork to stay in the hunt.
World Championship car, yea that will probably translate into fireworks assuming they are equal.

All i know is, i´m getting goosebumps just thinking about those two in the same machinery.

I can't see Kimi playing second fiddle willingly to Alonso. Massa, sure, he was a team player and followed team orders. Kimi? "Why are they waving the blue flags at me?"

"You can have Felipe and he'll move out of the way or you can have me and I won't" seems like a good negotiating position :)
