Zetsche's moustache contradicts your assertion

Really? The most power engines in F1 were 1.5L turbocharged L-4s and V-6s. The darling car of the whole internet is the all conquering 1988 MP4/4; a 1.5L V6-T with less than 650hp in race trim.McLobby wrote:...Either you like it or not, a high rev screaming v8+ has always been the trademark of F1 and what brought excitement to the average fan, who is not so loyal like us...
True, but you´re ignoring that trend is not new for this seasson...McLobby wrote:Bernie is no stupid. He obviously knows what he's talking about.
Global Tv ratings decline

ratings in Italy halved (from 4,1m to 2,4m on RAI): http://www.speedweek...und-Ostern.html
I am not blaming it only to the sound, but also to the stupid rules, but the new engines have had their part in this
That's why Bernie suggested that.
The average viewer is a petrolhead, a car enthusiast and not an eco - technology geek.
The money come in-directly from the average viewer, why he has to pay for all this technology research? that should be a goal for the car industry only.
F1 is not greenpeace. ( that makes me sound like a jerk?)
Imagine the new Lampo with an eco friendly quiet 1.6l v6, even if it pulled 1000hp, who would want that?
Even the new era hybrids, P1 and 918 still have an orgasmic sound from their V8s.
Either you like it or not, a high rev screaming v8+ has always been the trademark of F1 and what brought excitement to the average fan, who is not so loyal like us. We would watch our favorite drivers and teams compete even if they were riding bicycles.
That's funny, for me it's reversed. I think BBC commentary has become worthless and most of all I can't stand Eddie Jordan and that clueless lady. I can only appreciate David Coulthard but even then the entire show just annoys me. I'd watch Sky a thousand times over BBC. And that's from somebody who used to praise and adore the BBC before. It's just not what it was anymore.adrianjordan wrote:Could you include BBC viewing figures etc in that graph too?
From talking to fans I know, they've found the BBC highlights to be excellent so haven't bothered with Sky F1 any more...
Agree, Sky is on it.Manoah2u wrote:That's funny, for me it's reversed. I think BBC commentary has become worthless and most of all I can't stand Eddie Jordan and that clueless lady.
