That approach worked well for Brawn GP. Or maybe not.Alexgtt wrote:And if McLaren are back, so will come the sponsors Ron needs.
I assume so not as to interfere with airflow over the side podsFernando wrote:Has anyone figured out what the logic is of raising the mirrors?
I think you could be right there. My first impression was that it had to do with the new rear wing but Sauber seems to have taken the same approach.the EDGE wrote:I assume so not as to interfere with airflow over the side podsFernando wrote:Has anyone figured out what the logic is of raising the mirrors?
No comparison. Brawn was a unique situation. Anyway, that's for another thread.SidSidney wrote:That approach worked well for Brawn GP. Or maybe not.Alexgtt wrote:And if McLaren are back, so will come the sponsors Ron needs.
Not really the same situation. It seems that Red bull weren't really working in concert with Renault so the engine installation was something of a surprise. Mclaren have been working closely with Honda on this engine for years now. I really hope they've got something competitive as it would be great to see fernando and lewis go head to head.Alexgtt wrote:No comparison. Brawn was a unique situation. One concern I would have is the tight packaging on such a new motor............and we all know what that resulted in at Peter's last job. Will we see an ever expanding back end in testing?
I suspect they've got several test cooling packages to try out, should what they've tested on the dynos etc be wrong.Alexgtt wrote:No comparison. Brawn was a unique situation. interesting comparison.....i'm not convinced that the mclaren solution is betterEgresi Tamás wrote:https://twitter.com/Graftechweb/status/ ... 3950023681
We will see, that wich better concept. I trust Peter Prodromou. [-o<giantfan10 wrote:interesting comparison.....i'm not convinced that the mclaren solution is betterEgresi Tamás wrote:https://twitter.com/Graftechweb/status/ ... 3950023681
the ferrari it looks like has skinnier sidepods that have a smoother transition back to the diffuser and covers some of the rear suspension bits
Mclarens sidepods look bulkier with a more distinct move back to the centerline of the car after the bodywork passes the radiators....
looks like about the same amount of floor is exposed when comparing the design differences
Is it me or the ferrari is much longer? The distance between the seat and the read wheels seems much biggerEgresi Tamás wrote:https://twitter.com/Graftechweb/status/ ... 3950023681
redbull want their rear end backEgresi Tamás wrote:We will see, that wich better concept. I trust Peter Prodromou. [-o<giantfan10 wrote:interesting comparison.....i'm not convinced that the mclaren solution is betterEgresi Tamás wrote:https://twitter.com/Graftechweb/status/ ... 3950023681

If u assume.. you make an "ass" out of "u" and "me"...the EDGE wrote:I assume so not as to interfere with airflow over the side podsFernando wrote:Has anyone figured out what the logic is of raising the mirrors?
