With all due respect..... what?Manoah2u wrote: Honda S2000 > not that fast and not that fun and just sterile.
well, that's my experience at least .
I've had the pleasure of some decent exotica, and some will remain dreams.
The 911 is a peach, in the right format (GT3 of course), and the right road (ie, one with a WIDE track).
Didn't drive it, but my arse told me it was good.
The S2000 for it's vintage, is way beyond what anyone excluding Lotus could achieve, and I include the Porsche boxster.
Massive snap oversteer, absolutely no torque under 5k rpm and a questionable badge (for some) Is the "S2K".
But, get it into a sequence of corners, utilise the rifle bolt accurate gear shift and wait wait wait wait for that oversteer....BOOM, it hits you! This is a car for people that can grab a car by the horns and live to tell the tale.
It's not a predictable magic carpet like a boxster or z4 et al. This will kill you if you don't respect throttle input (Vtec kicked in yo!) Steering angle, or road surface.
No sir, this car asks you questions those cars didn't even know existed.
And the pleasure this "thing" gives me when I nail it, well I get goosebumps just writing about it.
If you truly think an S2000 is sterile and not fun, you did not take this car by it's considerable horns. And I warn you, if and when you do this....don't try on a public road.
As for it's comparison to a Bike... here in the south of England, go to Poole in Dorset on a Tuesday.
Many Augusta F4's 996/748/1180 dukes, 'blades, R1/6's, and even an old codger on a Norton....When they aren't felating each others leather clad bravado, they look and nod to the S2000.
A 4 wheel motorcycle.
