also, just in time for Monaco GP then
All laps, except out- and in-laps, are flying laps to all cars as I understand it. You go out, you go round and round, the music stops and everyone sits down. Slowest guy is out.Roman wrote:I dont think slow cars will be so problematic, you have them now as well. They have to move over just like now if they are not on a fast lap.
That would be different of course. I was (and am) under the impression that you do not have to keep running if you think your lap suffices. But yeah, blocking other cars can be a problem. What if you do a intentional slow lap for your tires?Gridlock wrote: All laps, except out- and in-laps, are flying laps to all cars as I understand it. Which would be great if we had 2010 bridgestones and not so great because we have 2016 pirellis.adrianjordan wrote:My understanding was that you have to keep running until you are eliminated or the session ends...
What's the point of using primes in qualifying anyway. Just let the teams use the faster tire at all times in qualifying.Roman wrote:If in Q1 the teams have 7 min until it counts, there will be less runs on primes but most teams will use their option tires right away. Because if the times on primes are not fast enough the "big" teams will have less (or no) time to change tires and go for another run.

1. It's his dumb idea approved unanimously by the teams, why would they change their minds?FrukostScones wrote:Bernie thinks new qualy still could be stopped (by Fia world m s council)
