I never said that F1 was exciting. In fact in another forum I said people stopped posting here because F1 is boring (I was a guest in another post). Of course people are going to try to convince themselves that F1 is an exciting sport; if they didn't they'd never watch it again and people would stop visiting all those websites. I only watch F1 in hopes of Ferrari doing a double DNF. I'll admit that 2002 Austria was the lamest thing I ever heard of (I didn't know about it until the end of the season).
Ferrari doesn't overtake on the road because they don't need to, at least Michael doesn't. Their car is good enough that they can do whatever they want and still win. Look at their recent four-stop strategy; even Michael said "no risk, no fun." It's everybody else's fault for not making the right car (or u can blame Michelin, one or the other).
In all cases I'm not a Ferrari fan, but I admit they get the job done regardless how everybody talks sh*t about them. Their job is to win, and their opponents are making it easy for them. They spend the money the other teams don't and unfortunately, that's what winning takes.
As for Rossi's form, I don't know why you brought that up. He crashed around lap four or five and tried to get back into the race... then he ended up DNF.
