Elecric engines? I don´t this coming as early as 2020. I dont see a return to V8/V10 engines either. Brawn´s words are difficul to decipher so we must wait.

He's saying F1 should step back from being overly road relevant and ensure the spectacle is preserved.

Personally I'd like to see the energy recovery systems dropped and the current V6 gain a second turbo. That would dramatically lower the price and increase the the fun factor imo.

This is imo what he's driving at, he's stating that it doesn't matter that road cars are going full electric, F1 is the full Monty, it's a show and a technological tour de force.

Nowhere in the article is that said. It can be interpreted in literally every direction.

It would indeed lower costs, but increase fun factor? How?

Yea but if you want to be part of the cool crowd you need to blame all the sport's problems on Bernie and Tilke.

Then you have demand to bring back the things that were in F1 when you were a kid because everything was better back then.

With Bernie out, I hope they finally make a decent "free" F1 app. It wouldn't take much...Just put the live race info, that they already share (for free) on F1 website, inside the app. The current app doesn't show live race info unless you pay a ridiculously expensive premium feature. (Not mentioning the bad interface, bugs and crashes of the app.)

Like 1-2 euro per race, is that ridiculously expensive? I would say that it is very good value for what it adds! Especially if you use it on a tablet where more information can be shown! Personally I never had it crash, what phone/pad are you using?

I think the current v6 with KERS, but centrifugal supercharged for the noise. Adding a front wheel KERS/differential that bolts in the nose should get away from the efficiency loss of the turbo/ increase of load from the supercharger.

If a team wants to make its car heavy by putting a big battery in it, they're welcome to. The energy density of any current battery isn't close to that of gasoline though, so it's probably not a great strategy (other than as an energy recovery system).
