Has anybody else noticed that David Coulthard has, as the season's went on, become increasingly desperate? I mean in his seek for a new team.
It started in the beginning of the season, and it just seems to escalate as the season goes on and nobody still seems to be interested in him.
It's so obvious it makes me laugh!
In a recent interview he said that Kimi is propably the best driver around at the moment. True. Then he went on to say that despite that, he has been better than kimi this season many times! What? When? I'm sorry, i must have missed that, all I have seen is him making about 3-6 tenths of a second slower laps in quali and kimi driving faster than him in the races, even overtaking him TWICE in the US GP.
So he claimed he's going to crush Kimi's self confidence by beating him in all the last 8 races of the season!?! Right. He was one second slower in the Silverstone qualifying. Not a good start for his Kimi beating campaign?
Then he's trying to convince team bosses that he is very much in demand.
He says he has "personally visited three teams" on the grounds of next years team choice. He probably went on a tour in their factory with some F1 fans.
He wants to show them "what he is like these days" instead of what he was like when they last knew him. I think this means williams. He has probably just walked in their office without an appointment and wanted to see Frank Williams. After three hours of sitting in the waiting room some middle level manager has agreed to see him. David has given a speech of what a terrific team player he is these days, and the guy has said "that's fantastic" and then hurried off to a meeting.
It must be hard falling from a top team position, which you have managed to keep only because your team doesn't like change, to having to settle a contract with some lesser team that can't manage to get decent drivers even with money.
