On softs.... and it's testing. Whatever Vandoorn does take 0.5s off for Alonsodavidfroshanzen wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 16:511:32:108... nothing better than qualification last week=nothing better performance from new part?
In soft? Are you sure? What u'r source?Soichiro wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 17:00On softs.... and it's testing. Whatever Vandoorn does take 0.5s off for Alonsodavidfroshanzen wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 16:511:32:108... nothing better than qualification last week=nothing better performance from new part?
Honda seems to be happy =D>Amus: Vandoorne is the new fourth. His last word: 1.32.108 minutes on soft tires. In the end of the round, the Belgians braked spectacularly in the first corner. We thought of the smoke clouds relex like a motor damage, but Vandoorne continues.
Are you sure? In the test does not mean they can not to run the qualifying mode.Soichiro wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 17:00On softs.... and it's testing. Thanks, it did take a while... Look forward to seeing what you got.mrluke wrote: ↑19 Apr 2017, 14:25Wow! That must have taken some time! 10/10 for effort.Nuvolari wrote: ↑18 Apr 2017, 23:08I got the onboard video and extracted the frames, then manually recorded the speeds. I tried to align the speeds based on the references from the track, but as you note, the traces are not properly aligned in the 2nd half of the lap...the one I posted was put together quickly, so it's a rough draft if you like. Still the apex speed differences can be judged, so I think it's helpful information to evaluate the chassis. It is also possible to construct a throttle/brake telemetry like that using other methods, but it is more laborious...and I'm not good at coding so, it's even worse.
I spent far too many hours last night looking into extracting an rpm trace via audio analysis. Which appears to have been successful. With a little more time I'll have something to share.
But more importantly it's all done with free software so that anybody can do it
Will be great to get more data based analysis as opposed to the usual PR statements.
How did you know this, can you see the future?
