Copse will be the one to keep an eye on. Still in doubt they'll be flat though as that would require ~40-50 kph higher speed at the apex compared to last year and that's too much. Probably just a small lift to drop some speed at the entry.
I think it could be flat on low fuel ofc. 2010 RB 6 could do it.

shitty quality but it shows its flat if I'm not mistaken
He's flat, but the RB6 was 110 kg lighter, had 250 bhp less and was rev limited at 292 kph. In 2016 hamilton approaches copse at 320 kph and then drops a lot of speed mid corner. 2017 could corner faster than RB6 while being on half throttle or even completely lifted, so it's not a direct apple to apple comparison.

Hoping for some rain in the race.
One can hope.

Meh, it will be like Austria, speaking about rain the hole week and finally, nothing.

Its Silverstone and after two bad weekends I see Hamilton winning this race. He will be 100% focused on this, for sure.

But it will be interesting because both Mercedes and Ferrari will bring important PU updates so let´s see if Ferrari can close the gap. Their car should be strong here.
Where can I find the current PU allowance?

The drivers may get bored driving and make mistakes as the track only has 11 corners with these new cars. Turns 1, 2, & 5 are easy flat, Copse may be flat in qualifying, otherwise a brief lift is enough. I think it's going to be the first time ever that the entry to C.M.B. will be flat, maybe a lift, and a dab of the brakes through 12 to setup 13 and 14. Stowe will be a crazy corner, 5th gear corner at the start of the race, 6th gear in quali or late race. If it's dry of course.

Regarding the weather:
There's a good chance that the race will be held under changing conditions, may be damp on Saturday, but shouldn't affect qualifying too much.

I hope Bottas wins this race. Then it will be moving towards a three horse race for the championship.
Thats the only chance for Vettel. As he will have a team mate helping him while the Merc boys take points off each other (Mclaren 2007)
Where did that happen this season (taking points off each other)?

Help from the Teammate is far more valuable if the second driver takes points from the opponing team. I dont't see that happening soon with RAIs performance and the better car that Mercedes has since Canada.
Marv, if bottas is in a championship battle with Lewis , they will be taking points off each other. 100% guaranteed

Hamilton is untouchable around here, he finds time that shouldn't be there somehow.

I made some championship tables of the driver's and constructor's points and positions so far this season. I'll try to include these in each race's title post going forward.

Yesh. Good graphs. Kimi obviously costing Ferrari more than he's worth. And Stroll made a huuge jump after that podium.

What's porn without sound? The only sauce missing for Nirvana. Of course I am talking about F1.

I am looking forward to high speed direction changes coming from straights.

Thanks. For me the biggest shock, which is not so evident from the graphs but more from the table below, is how dismal McLaren's season has been so far. It might even be worse than their first season with Honda, but is certainly a step down from last year.

Raikkonen is underperforming, but had also a couple of unlucky DNF in Spain and in Baku.

This part was decided before the season. It would be cool but won't happen.
- Race both interesting and boring for the same reason: track. Interesting: cars and Ferrari - Merc comparison. Boring: you'll see yourself plus drivers situation.

- From Amus: Ferrari Q engine update + 10-15 HP (quite a big margin of error, might be 2 might be 3) let's say 12,5 ~ 1,25%. How much in fraction of a second would that be during a Q lap in Silverstone, since engine power is a popular topic here ;-)?

- Starting point for Ferrari-Merc is 50/50. It was very relative but it seemed that medium in Spain worked better for Merc so softer compounds might be beneficial for Ferrari, "if" and only slightly, Baku another example.
