Correction: 5th. That's massive 15 points. Though with Max and Dan right there splitting Ferrari, this could be a close one. RedBull should be very smart tomorrow. Assuming they get cleanly through the first few corners and both RedBull stay close, they could play smart by pitting one early and one late and see how Ferrari/Vettel reacts.Phil wrote: ↑15 Sep 2017, 20:43It can go both ways. If RedBull splits them, it could be very costly. Imagine Vettel winning with the best Mercedes 4th. That would be 13 points.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑15 Sep 2017, 20:06In some ways, RB winning won't be too worrying for Ferrari or Mercedes. From Vettel and Hamilton's perspective, they are more interested in where each other finishes. Both will see RB's performance here as an outlier and unlikely to be a harbinger of a change of fortunes.
Ey? That's a bit harsh. Dan was mighty in FP1 and FP2 and close enough in FP3. What's wrong with genuine disappointment of one of the drivers who possibly thought to have it within grasp to get pole and win on perhaps the best track for RedBull this year?
I just think it's getting to him that Max is genuinely the quicker driver and that it's consistently showing to be the case.Phil wrote: ↑16 Sep 2017, 17:44Ey? That's a bit harsh. The Dan vs Max mentioning isn't really necessary IMO.
