My two cents: Big Lewis fan forever, but that first lap still sucked. In My Opinion, Verstappen develops tunnel vision in the corners. Raikkonen got a blazing good start and boy is he sorry. Same goes for Alonso. Points wise, something for everyone but Ferrari and Sauber. Wow. On to Malaysia where Lewis blew up last year. Will the gods equalize the WDC in the heat?

Twice? It's done I guess for the Baku incident. Besides, Vettel's turbo situation is still a question mark. We would have to wait for Ferrari's investigation about their cars to understand if both cars were OK.

The Ferrari salt is strong. That was not Verstappens fault, and it wasn't Kimi's either. Vettel came across the track too strongly but he couldn't have known Kimi would be on the inside already.

It's more a racing incident but if you have to blame someone, blame Vettel. Moving across the track like that, in the rain is never a good idea unless you can see everyone behind you.

I have to say i was very impressed with Hamiltons start too. That, and that magnificant performance on the wet track easily makes him driver of the race for me. By far.
Not for nothing, Rosberg's Championship is the only thing that lends credibility to Hamilton's recent success. Otherwise, he'd just be the guy who's had the best car. — bhall II

Fairly impressive watching the Merc on what, 13-14 laps old inters, gapping the Red Bull with brand spanking new inters.

Was there anything said in post race interviews about RICs lack of pace? It seemed that HAM, after each restart, could easily pull 2sec/lap gap over RIC, and RIC just didn't have anything to answer with, basically reversed result, judging from FP and quali times

Well Alonso did same in 2010. Only Vettel probably couldn't see Raikkonen. Raikkonen start closing on Verstappen and contact was inevitable. If Kimi have had a bad start then everything would be fine. but.... :(

Horner said something about Gearbox issues. I think it was him. And he saidhe had to drive around the problems for a good 90mins! Not sure what they were though ? Anyone know? If it was a problem to keep it all working, surely Red bull would just risk all for an attempt at a win ? Not settle for a 2nd??

Impressive driving because the pressure was on, Mercedes couldn't box Lewis as Red Bull would've stayed out and gained track position. Red Bull would've done that again with the final safety car but Bottas was close enough to stop them.

@Nathan,

F1F reporting the same. The team expected him to retire, but he nurtured the car home.

I see, so what was involved when nurturing the car home ? Any ideas ? Short shifting ? Changing gear less ?

At the time the site was having problems so I couldn't read the full article. Still doesn't add anything to the title tho.

Full wets will be the race tyre.

We should be assigning odds for who crashes out 1-10...
Max takes out Seb within the first lap and Danny Ric cruises home for the win with Kimi 2nd and Hamilton 3rd.
Wow, I was close ..... :D
