From what I could see today at the Circuit, Toro Rosso have better exit corner speed than Mclaren and other midfield teams. It seems that they are loosing a bit with low speed corners...

You could see it on the stream before I ran out of battery 😝
thanks

My prediction is that TR will be around 9-10th place at Melbourne.
You mean best STR car will progress into Q3 or that STR Honda will be 9th/10th car?
I don't believe either. About 6th car would be a good and plausible start to the season.
6th is probably too optimistic. Renault has hugely improved, Mclaren will be there and there about. Not sure how good the new Williams chassis is, but probably better than last year's. Not to forget Force India.

It looked like they were slowing more before the bends, so maybe that made the car look faster on exit? Might not be producing the low speed DF that the others are. Or maybe it was the drivers?

I think 8th should be what they expect but they should be shooting for 6th.

We are probably looking at the tightest midfield->rearfield in the last 20 years. It looks like it will be hundredths of a second that define qualifying starting order.

I hope that's the case. TR does look better than I was expecting.

I think so too. Even Q1 will be interesting this year

Good test for TR, lots of mileage under the belt.

It seems better than Mclaren and Force India for what I could see at the turns of S3 where I was

Isn't this opposite of what GA was saying? lol
Very impressed with the front end of the Toro Rosso. Of course the top three teams look very good but Hartley is able to carry good speed into the apex of Turn 4 and the nose stays nicely tucked in. The Honda engine sounds less rough than last year too.

The other party doesn't get the blame because your party is mainly a customer now. Spoiled days are over. No one but yourselves to blame.
